Divine Wisdom From Michele Livingston

by Michele Livingston

Hi Michele,

I align other people’s auras and chakras through healing and color therapy. I know certain colors can affect moods and the auric field. Is there anything else I should know about balancing energy?

Thanks,

Catherine L.

Dear Michele,

Whatever we wear, whether it’s a certain clothing material, a favorite color, a particular gemstone or a precious metal in the form of jewelry affects our auric field. For example, wearing the higher chakra colors expands the aura and raises the energy field. These colors are emerald green, aqua, royal blue, purple and white. Likewise, a natural material such as silk is advantageous to wear, because silk enables energy to transmute. I know a well-known healer who wears nothing but silk, which is cool in summer and warm in winter. She claims wearing silk clothing helps her to not only balance her own energy field, but the auric field of others. The gemstone amethyst promotes healing when worn as jewelry (purple is the highest spiritual color) and rose quartz has the properties to attract love (rose pink being the color of unconditional heart love).

The composition of gold and silver metal also emanates a certain energy that travels into the human auric field. The precious metal gold was consistently worn in the ancient culture of Egypt. Gold metal was symbolic of the daytime and of the sun, which was considered to imbue the wearer with a masculine energy. Gold also represented the solar cycles and Egypt’s Sun God named RA, who rode a fiery golden chariot through the sky. They believed gold gave strength, enlightenment and power to the wearer. Silver, on the other hand, is a soft, mutable precious metal; which represents nighttime, the moon and lunar cycle, the goddess energy, mystical secrets of intuition and personifies feminine aspects.

Each individual on the earth plane has both a masculine and feminine side to his or her nature. The masculine side is physically strong, independent in personality, assertive, direct in action and communication, intellectual, analytical and competitive. The feminine side is soft, creative, emotional, nurturing, intuitive and spiritual. The two polarities of masculine and feminine should be balanced and in harmony. Therefore, it is important to make a conscious effort to alternate the wearing of gold and silver jewelry.

You might consider wearing gold jewelry the first-half of a week, then silver over the weekends or vice versa. Another way to balance your energy is to change your metals every other day. You can also mix pieces of gold and silver and wear them at the same time. Of course if you do not like jewelry, you don’t have to wear it. This advice is for people who love jewelry or consistently wear either gold or silver.

By following this guidance, you’ll have a new awareness that whatever you wear, you imbibe into your aura. And with this knowledge you will feel more centered, grounded and in harmony with yourself.

Dear Michele,

I love your column and have gained a lot of insight reading it! I’m also glad you cover different subjects, since my question is not about departed souls or metaphysical concepts. My problem is about trust issues. I find it very difficult to trust other people, since I’ve been abused many times in the past. I consider myself more spiritual than religious, but I do pray. How can I "let go and let God" and learn to trust more?

Thank you for any help,

Paula V.

Dear Paula,

Letting go and trusting is difficult for many people. So I consulted my Angels, called the "light beings," about this subject. The following is what I received;

Trust is the ultimate belief in a Higher Power, others and yourself. This confidence comes from faith. Faith not only comes from courage but from relinquishing control. Many people have "trust issues" on the earth plane, due to hurts and abuses in their past. Just as a child may get burnt physically when he or she places a hand on a hot stove, an adult may get burnt emotionally in life. But this is the manner in which the human species learns. The child will then be more cautious about touching stoves, while the adult will be more cautious about certain close relationships. Learning to make these distinctions in life teaches discernment and engenders spiritual growth; it doesn’t just promote personal protection.

"Trusting" means putting reliance in situations and people, knowing that assuredly the Creator’s love is in them. Humanity is fallible, but God is perfect. Humanity is fickle, but God is ever constant with unconditional love. Humanity remains in a learning curve, while God is all knowing. Therefore, in relinquishing control, an individual must first put his or her trust in God, and then trust in others will follow.

People create a life pattern through their thought forms and lessons learned each lifetime. When you are in the stream of divine love, then every obstacle and setback seems minor. This comes about because trust resides in this "state of love."

Paula, you asked how you can "let go and let God." Try to surrender your will to the power of God. Believe, knowing that the Creator loves you and will provide for your needs and provide good people and opportunities to come into your life. Here is a positive affirmation that you can say to help you trust others:

Heavenly Creator, I trust You, I surrender to You my mind, body and spirit to live and be in Your perfect will; and I’m asking that You help me trust others and let me relinquish control. Not my will, but Thine be done.

Try to say this affirmation daily for awhile and feel your emotions calm down and your heart open to the possibility of trusting through faith. I hope this helps.
