Astrological Forecast for May 2009

The warmer weather is here in New England as May starts off like a Lion with the Moon moving through the sign of Leo for the first three days.
This month Gemini begins to internalize thoughts, Scorpio and Taurus learn the art of patience, Virgo is tired of all the responsibilities and is ready to share the load, Gemini attracts attention, Aquarius moves into a dream state and the sign of Taurus is ready to manifest money.
Mercury turns retrograde (appears to be moving backwards) from May 7 to 30th. It starts its retrograde motion at 1:00AM EDT on the 7th in the sign of Gemini. Those born under the sign of the twins have had the feeling of moving forward since May 1st but a sudden shift of plans turns their world into a thinking mode rather than an action mode.
Mercury will retrograde back into Taurus starting on May 13th at 7:53PM EDT. Those born under the sign of Gemini feel left out of a project they were working on around the 13th but they will turn the tide back into action by the middle of June.
Those born under the sign of Taurus are thinking of future investments and are not in a gambleling mood just yet. They want to see how the markets will do starting in June before they make any final investment choices. Those choices will manifest in the first half of June.
If you’re born under the signs of Scorpio, Taurus or Aquarius the full Moon on May 9th at 12:01AM is affecting your outlook on life. This full Moon is at 18 degrees just beyond the halfway point of the normal 30 degree cycles through the zodiac signs or houses.
The full Moon in Scorpio creates hidden emotions which are on hold. This middle degree full Moon is in a waiting period till the new Moon on the 24th. The full Moon is sextile Saturn showing opportunities to build a better future by smart thinking and conservative approaches as Saturn is in Virgo in deep retrograde. Saturn is involved in a trine with the Sun showing it will be easy for Scorpio, Taurus and Aquarians to move slowly in their choices.
However, both the Sun and the Moon on this full Moon early morning day is square to Jupiter which in Aquarius. Jupiter is the great benefit. But it is at the heart of a t-square adding tension to the psychology of Scorpio and the material earthbound Taurus. Aquarians will want to think big but feel they can’t move an inch. The energy is stuck as Saturn is about to move in a direct motion on the 16th to begin turning this stuck energy around.
Where do Scorpio, Taurus, Aquarius and Virgo find the answers on this stressful full Moon? In the dream state. These four signs should pay close attention to their dreams for clues and images that direct them in a clear and precise way. Maybe its choices you need to make in your business life or in whatever seems tense and needs releasing. Since all four signs influenced by this full Moon are fixed patience is needed as the lessons these signs are learning is patience and tolerance of what we cannot change. Try not to let this tense energy spill over to Mother’s Day on the 10th. Bring your Mother flowers to sooth her tense heart strings.
As Mercury moves into the sign of Taurus in retrograde motion on the 13th it continues to add a stuck energy for the sign of Taurus surrounding matters of material possessions or anything that can be possessed including relationships with people.
May 16th starts a better energy because Saturn will turn direct at 10:06PM. I can’t tell you how happy I will be personally. Since Saturn turned retrograde on December 31st of 2008 it has taken me from Iowa to Connecticut (Saturn crossing over my IC) to live in my brother’s house with my nephew who I hardly knew. Then my best friend and wife for fourteen years passes over from cancer.
Saturn is the deliver of karma and it can be very painful. Saturn is also creating some health problems for Mexico and elsewhere because it is in the sign of Virgo which rules healthcare and health issues that could get out of control in several countries over the next five months.
Those born under the sign of Virgo are ready to implement responsibilities to others instead of doing all the work themselves.
The good news is when Saturn turns direct it will start a new wave of economic growth starting in June. Stuck energy will start to loosen up. Thank God!!!

The Sun moves into Gemini on May 20th at 5:51PM EDT. It is time for the sign of Gemini to celebrate their unique contributions and be recognized.
The new Moon on May 24th at 8:11 AM in Gemini at three degrees makes things move and happen. With the Sun and Moon squaring Neptune, Jupiter and Chiron try not to cloud your perceptions up with too many things. The twins need to be careful of overstepping their boundaries in order to find a place of inner healing (Chiron). By the middle of June Gemini’s will feel much better inside and the outer world will reflect this back to them.
Saturn is unaspected during this new Moon. This is an indication that Gemini is foot lose and fancy free with their lives and needs to take a more cautious tone in order to stay out of trouble. Also, this could be the time that issues surrounding a health problem is getting out of control around the world.
Neptune turns retrograde in Aquarius on the 29th allowing those born under the sign of Aquarius better intuitive insight. This will take place till November 4th, 2009. Any new inventions for those who are technologically inclined could manifest by the end of this year and new humanitarian policies could be implemented in November and December of this year.
As Mercury turns direct in the sign of Taurus on May 30th at 9:21PM EDT and Mars moves into the sign of Taurus on the 31st we end the month with Saturn and Mercury in direct motion. Combine these two planets with Mars in Taurus and we have a physical manifestation that helps to fulfill the desires of those born under the signs of Virgo, Taurus and Gemini in the month of June.
Taurus has tremendous energy in June to manifest physical advancements. A good time to play the Lottery also. A clear plan is ahead for the bull.
