Whitney's Whirl - Your Weekly Horoscope for May 18-24, 2009

An electrifying eek ahead as we have another New Moon on May 24th, at 8:13 a.m. So as we start this week, don't forget to put your wish list together to manifest quickly. Be precise, and put it on your vision board, and then launch it sometime between the 24th up to May 27th. It's important to start each week with your intentions, so at least put that list together so you can begin to see how your wishes can begin to manifest in your life. After you read what is below, you will realize that your wish board needs to say that you are at peace with the world, and everyone in it.
With The Sun conjunct Mercury our egos can get in the way. We can be somewhat egocentric, but our mental fortitude will be very strong. Try not to lose objective this week, as it is easy to be selfish and not even see this, as it brings mind and ego together. It's great is you are teaching something, but otherwise, be aware of this aspect so to harness the energy for your best outcome. Use this mental energy for creative, ambitious, impulsive ideas; just be kind to everyone else who is feeling the same way. Smile at the cranky, make 'em laugh!
The Sun is semi-square Venus this week so it could be very touchy with friends or intimate relationships, as Venus rules love and good will. With the semi-square to Venus as well, we could find ourselves in a very uncompromising situation which could lead to a loss of a friendship or love relationship. Be careful not to take advantage of your friends.
With Venus in a tight Quincunx to Saturn, we still feel that we have to make an adjustment to love, and everything ruled by Venus. Saturn puts a damper on this aspect, and the Quincunx forces that adjustment. With Mercury still retrograde, relationships are being tested, and if it's time to say goodbye to someone, well that's exactly what the adjustment could be. It's not the best time to make decisions on relationships even if it feels that way. Slow down in your assumptions, bite your tongue, and wait until mid June for clarity of mind on all decisions.
If you must end a relationship, you must, but my suggestion is to try to keep the peace until the end of this Mercury retrograde period, which ends on May 30th, at 9:16 p.m. here in Kittery, Maine. Remember, that there is a two week shadow period when Mercury turns direct, which means for two weeks after it turns direct, we are still wading through imbalances in our mind set, lives and relationships. And, the first few days after Mercury goes direct, can be rocky, so just be aware. Communications and clarity of mind improve more and more, each day after Mercury turns direct.
Jupiter is Semi-sextile Uranus, This helps us all keep an upbeat, happy attitude, and keeps us in the mood for some merriment. It makes us funny and laugh and we find ourselves being drawn out to social events. It also keeps us in an optimistic view, and this draws positive opportunities to us. In lieu of all of this week's testy emotions, this brighter energy will draw us out to have fun, and forget all the fidgety, knuckle cracking, nail biting events that we could waste time on; let it slide and just go find something to do to make you happy.
The Sun enters the sign of Gemini on May 20th at 5:45 p.m. here in Kittery, Maine, so our minds work faster, we communicate more quickly, and all with Mercury retrograde, the ruling planet of Gemini. So, the next couple of weeks should feel somewhat like riding a merry go round backwards..weeehaaa!
ARIES: You will be focused on your own set of rules this week, and it could be hard for you to keep your perspective, but not impossible. Your energies run high and strong, and yet I see a quiet get away, or time focused on something behind the scenes, which could be exactly what you need to pull you away from the issues that push your buttons. With the New Moon at 3 28 Gemini, at 8:14 p.m. on May 24th, you may see some new daily plans go into place, such as classes, or your daily agenda increase.
TAURUS: The Sun and Mercury are focused on you, you, you this week. And, with new ideas sprouting from the light of the New Moon on May 24th, it's good to be focused, but don't lose perspective. With Venus Quincunx Saturn in your 5th house of love, you may not feel the love that you deserve or desire; however; with Juno, the marriage asteroid, conjunct Uranus in Pisces, you could say, "off with his head", and just keep going to something that truly suits you. You need someone stimulating, creative and outgoing..if the shoes fits wear it, if not just put on your best waling shoes, and just walk away.
GEMINI: With the New Moon in your first house, you need to make a very special vision board. What is it that you want? With your career looking rosey, prepare yourself to step into a very prominent position soon. The work that you have been doing behind the scenes will soon pay off, and you can showcase your ideas before those whose judgement will matter. No one will call you eccentric, but they might call you brilliant!
CANCER: Something is brewing, and now as you unveil it before the many new faces of your social connections, they be helpful in pushing you in a new direction. A partner may be helpful in pulling some strings to assist you which includes financial blending with educational plans. This may put you way ahead in the particular line of work that you have chosen. With Venus in your 10th house of career, quincunx Saturn in your third, you are probably hearing thing like you need more education, so go get it.
LEO: You will be the focus of your career this week, with everyone else trying to assist you with your grand ideas! We don't call you Leo for nothing this week, as everyone will hear you roar. Transformations of your spiritual and financial values add wisdom and integrity to your life this week. A new social group brings a lot of creative energies, as well as new faces and lots of talent. Get out and enjoy some of the funny, effervescent energy this week. Your special someone is about ready to cross your path, or at least untie your shoe.
VIRGO: Don't let any negative energies stop you this week Virgo. Someone from your past is not meant for your future, and don't forget that. There is a new love just about ready to enter your life, and there is tremendous growth and potential for a better relationship with this turnaround. There may be limitations to education now, as you may not have the funding. Your direction will clear in mid June as the New Moon highlights your 10th house of career. Do your vision board as I see a new direction in work, into a more spiritually connected work environment.
LIBRA: Keep positive this week as your creativity may be challenged. Others views are not more important than yours, and you will see this soon enough. if a partner does not give you the support you need especially to follow a new direction in education and career, then just keep on your path anyway. The New Moon falls in your 9th house of education, so that's where your focus should be. A change of residence could be highly inspiring and you might just surprise yourself with what you do this week. Remember, it's your life, and no one but you makes decisions for your life and future, but you.
SCORPIO: I see a wondrous transformation in your understanding of your classes and creativity. It's as though a light is shining on the canvas of your life, or perhaps whatever you are creating, but someone's input is helping you in your expression of your creativity. With Venus Septile Jupiter and Pluto, you will feel a new drive to create, and express yourself, as well as having a new sense of freedom, growth and progress in your work. If friends or social obligations get in your way, just keep focused on yourself this week, and let everyone else take care of themselves.
SAGITTARIUS: Don't let the fun fade away this week, as too much responsibility at work could keep your nose to the grindstone. Your spiritual side has somewhat of a damper on it as well as you face work responsibilities; however, the New Moon falls in your 7th house of partners, so take some time and go play just a little bit to offset the imbalances of your workload. With the Biquintile from Pluto in your second house of income to Mercury and the Sun in your 6th house of avocation, someone is sure to notice your talents, as this shouts, "see how good I really am"!
CAPRICORN: With the Moon sextile Pluto early week, your ideas pertaining to classes could bring you some income. Correspondence with neighbors, or siblings could have a surprising note to it, which lights up your life. The 5th house is also about pleasure, and how we find it, so anything artistic, creative, or that you really enjoy doing, yes, even making babies, is a 5th house action. Think about love and fun this week. The New Moon alights your 6th house of avocation, so keep the energy alive with creative writing, correspondence, and especially love to keep your heart simmering.
AQUARIUS: New financial opportunities that are quite ingenious come from your creativity and psychic output. Your creative genius is at work, creating a new line of work ideas, and presenting them to the public. Don't lose your perspective this week, stay flexible in communications and expressing your views. Advertise yourself, as this will pay off now.
