What s "8 Weeks to Wellness?"

8 Weeks to Wellness seems to be the culmination of my 30 years in practice.

Every doctor, myself included, knows that lifestyle plays a tremendous role in maintaining and restoring our health. Some estimates are as high as 80% for all chronic diseases that can be prevented through healthy lifestyle. In healthcare, people are always urged to eat correctly, exercise, don’t smoke…with no real follow-through from their primary or specialist physician. This is where we come in!

The beauty of the 8 Weeks to Wellness program in our office is that we have built a complete wellness center under one roof! Patients have commented on how this has made it possible for them to follow a healthy program and fit it into their busy lifestyles and make the changes necessary to be healthier.

It’s exciting for our clients and patients to see that our staff too is fully engaged in this process of proper exercise, stress management, healthy nutrition, massage therapy and chiropractic adjustments. This allows our acts to be congruent with our philosophy that health is an inside-out job and that each of us is responsible for taking the steps necessary to regain and maintain our health. In other words, "we walk our talk" and WE do what we want you to do.

One of the reasons why I was attracted to healthcare over 30 years ago was my innate sense of how important it was to maintain our health with these specific things that we have incorporated into our 8 Weeks to Wellness practice. This program has been shown to be extremely effective in helping people lose weight (actually, lose fat weight and gain muscle mass), get their blood sugar and blood pressure under control, increase their energy and vitality and reduce their reliance on prescription medications.

How do we do this?

You do it in a customized, doctor-supervised program that motivates and supports you to follow-through and achieve the goals that you and the doctor have outlined. So, every week you get 2 sessions with a personal trainer in our second floor in-office fitness studio, 2 chiropractic adjustments, 1 hour massage, meditation instructions to better handle stress, and a simple nutritional program that allows you to eat 5 times a day so you keep your metabolism running, your insulin and blood sugar levels stable, so you are not hungry.
