Excerpt from “The Holy Trinity of the Soul”

My God, My God, Why Have You Forsaken Me?

by Paul Blann

It is reported Jesus said these words while he was on the cross in two of the four gospels, Mathew and Mark. The Gospel of Peter (Not included in the New Testament) also reports Jesus saying this. In saying these words, Jesus was actually quoting Psalm 22 which reads:

My God, My God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, so far from the words of my groaning?”

The Gnostics believe that Jesus spoke these words after the “Christ Consciousness” left Jesus’ body before death and Jesus then felt abandoned by God. Another belief would be that Jesus said them when the pain he was feeling became so great that he lost his connection to the Christ Consciousness. Either way it just doesn’t make sense that Jesus would ever feel Forsaken by God. Something went wrong and two of the Gospels felt compelled to report it. Could Jesus actually have lived his life backwards? I will explore this notion in Chapter 9 but for now let’s look at what Jesus said on the cross as reported.

Here is a list of all the quotes of Jesus while he was on the cross as reported in the four Gospels:

Matthew:

“My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?”

Mark:

“My God, My God, Why have you forsaken me?”

Luke:

“Father Forgive them for they know not what they do”

“I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise”

“Father, Into your hands I commit my Spirit”

John:

“Women here is your son, Here is your Mother”

“I am Thirsty”

“It is Finished”

It is quite obvious that in the book of Matthew and Mark these are the most important words spoken by Jesus on the cross because they are the only ones mentioned in both books. Was this their way of reporting that even Jesus, when the vibrations of his body were lowered to a certain level, felt abandoned by God? If so when is our vibration lowered to the level of feeling abandoned by God? I believe it begins for us at birth.

Feeling that we have been forsaken by God at birth is, in my opinion, our first emotion. This feeling of being abandoned begins our path of falling away from our Soul Group along with the feelings of being alone. At the moment of birth we leave the Unconditional Love of Our Soul Group and enter into this dense reality we call Earth. We yell out “My God, My God, Why have you forsaken me”. Shortly thereafter we are slapped on the butt, hit with bright lights, hear strange noises, then removed once more from a place of love, as we are taken from our Mother’s arms and placed in a room, all alone in a box. Our fall from Grace is complete. We feel separated not only from God but our Soul Group. We have been abandoned completely and we have only been on this Earth a few short moments.

As each day passes it gets worse for us. We are united with our Mothers only to be taken away again and again. Noises get louder, lights get brighter. We hear people with angry voices and feel vibrations that strip us of the Unconditional Love we brought in with us. Little by little we become more and more detached from our Soul Group and fall further and further away from the Christ Consciousness. As infants, only a few days old, we begin building the mind patterns of abandonment and label ourselves as having little worth. We are completely dependent on others and totally helpless. God, in the way we knew, is no longer with us. Even if our parents give us all the attention possible, we still feel like we have been abandoned by God. It is a fear and anger that will stay with us until we learn to reconnect with our Soul Group and once again feel and know God.

Days turn into years and we are constantly reminded of God’s abandonment. God is in Heaven and the only way we can talk to him is through Prayer and Oh, by the way, he will never talk to us. He only talks to Prophets and Saints, so don’t expect him to be saying anything to us anytime soon. We are not worthy enough for that kind of communication with God. We are told that we must get instructions from someone else to know what God wants us to do. We must go to church and even though we sing the songs that say God Loves Me and all the Little Children of the World, we just don’t feel the Love that others must be feeling. We never did on this Earth. That must mean there is something really wrong with us. Deep down inside we are always feeling lost and alone. Our soul falls further and further away from our Soul Group. We are scared and desperate. This is where the wounded child starts to act out, kicking and flailing, trying to break free from the lower vibrations that are keeping it from knowing God once more. This is the core issue leading to all our fear, anger, abusive and self destructive behavior. This “Original Sin” of our being abandoned is also what prevents us from loving others, but more importantly ourselves. It prevents us from being one with God and accepting our true Godly Nature. In my opinion this is the meaning of the Adam and Eve Story.

There are souls that have come to this earth that are free from the original feelings of abandonment by God. They have retained the memory of their Soul Group and The Christ Consciousness. They are known as the Indigo Children. These children, if allowed to, can show us what it means to still have a memory of our Soul Group and ultimately the Christ Consciousness. We need to protect them from being destroyed by those who desire us to remain distant from our Soul Group.

OK, so what do those of us, who are lost, do to return our souls back to feeling the love of our Soul Group and of God and accepting who and what we are? All of the Masters have taught it from Buddha and Krishna to Jesus. Let’s take a look, though, at what Jesus said for us to do since he cried out with our same anguish of abandonment. Jesus told us in John 14:6 (NIV)

“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well from now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

This quote by Jesus is one of the most misused and abused teachings of Jesus. What Jesus is actually laying out for us, is not that we are damned for all time unless we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, but that the only way we can return to our God-Mind is through breaking free from our feeling of being abandoned by God. We do that through increasing our vibrations, by breaking free of the lower vibration of fear, and by using our Soul Group and the Christ Consciousness as our conduit to the God-Mind.

Jesus goes on to explain in The Book of John the hope we have when we regain our connection to the God-Mind. He also explains that we cannot bear fruit when we are detached from the God-Mind. Here is the NIV version of how Jesus explained the importance of our link to the God-Mind through our Soul Groups and the Christ Conscious.

John 15:1 (NIV)

1 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes[a] so that it will be even more fruitful. 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

5I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

9 “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10 If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. 11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you”

It’s pretty plain and simple in my opinion. The further we are removed from the God-Mind the more we wither. The closer we are to the God-Mind the more we prosper and God’s desire is for us to be abundant.

I would like to point out the underlying message of abandonment in this quote, “He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit.” I believe this is intentionally said this way so that Human powers can play on our feeling of being abandoned. I believe Jesus’ actual intent when saying this was: If we do not use the link of our Soul Group and the Christ Consciousness, our vibrations will become so low that we will feel cut off from the God-Mind. It is impossible for us to be totally cut off from God and The Christ Consciousness would never imply that we could or would be.

From the instant we were born we have been preyed upon, taught what others wanted us to know and mentally programmed in a way that would keep us from our true power. Our Churches, Governments, Teachers, Parents, friends, and everyone we have associated with have consciously or unconsciously used our first emotion against us. They have taken our feeling of being abandoned by God and attached their energy cords to us for their own use.

The time has come to set aside our feeling of being abandoned and KNOW who we really are. It is time to reconnect with the God-Mind. It has NEVER abandoned us.

There are many ways and tools to start reconnecting with the God-Mind, but vibrations are the secret.

1> Start by removing yourself from negative vibrations as much as possible. If you cannot remove yourself from them, then at least become aware of them and do not take them in as your own.

2> Meditate using high vibrations to communicate first with your Soul Group and then to the Christ Consciousness. Music or tones are a good way to communicate through meditation. All of the Hindu Mantras use music and or tones to transmit the vibrations of the Mantras. Aboriginals and Native people always sang and danced their prayers. Prayer is much more powerful when the prayer is sung and danced with an emotion of high vibration.

3> Start Listening. Become very aware of your total surroundings. Listen and feel the vibrations of the wind and the song of the birds. Take walks and listen to and feel all that is around you. Feel the God-Mind in everything around you. Reconnect with that vibration. Running water is also a great place to feel high vibration.

4> Feel the Love in everybody and everything. Everyone has it, they just may not know it, and you may have to show it to them.

5> Question everything that people, especially the news and those in authority, tell you.

6> Be alone with your Soul Group for at least a little while every day. Talk with them and then listen.

Today is a new beginning and an end to the past. Start loving yourself for who you really are, a piece of God, and know that you were never abandoned. Heal the wounded child by healing the core reason for all your pain.
