Ask the Astrology Guy

by Reverend Jeff Pica

Dear Astrology guy,

I don't know if I have a Yod aspect in my chart but I have read many books and websites about astrology and I seem to be convinced that I have one.

I came to your website and think that you can help me to answer my concerns and interpret my chart.  I would appreciate it. I attach my birthday chart to this email so you can take a look at it.

In addition, I was born on December 26th, 1989 at 00:30 AM in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Hi Lucia,
You do have the uncommon aspect in your chart, a Yod, also known as the "Finger of God" aspect. In such an aspect, two planets in an easy sextile aspect to each other together make a stressful quincunx aspect to a third planet, creating a large Y formation across a chart. That third planet becomes the apex of the Yod. People who have a Yod are divinely guided and are here to help and guide others. The guidance you are here to give to others is characterized by the qualities of that apex planet.
In your chart, you have a Mars/Moon conjunction in Sagittarius in the Second House, in a sextile aspect to your Venus in Aquarius in the Fourth House. Both the Mars/Moon combination and Venus make a quincunx aspect to your Jupiter conjunct the Midheaven. Therefore, your Jupiter/Midheaven combination becomes the apex of your Yod.
Your Mars/Moon conjunction denotes a heightened, physically active persona regarding the home, your feelings and emotions. This could take the form of being a housing activist, or a home caretaker, or an elderly caregiver, etc, anything that involves physical activity and the home.
Your Venus in Aquarius shows a love for humanity, your scientific and philanthropic views, and a love of friends and groups of people.
Combining your Mars/Moon and Venus, we can see work in general with groups of families, such as family shelters, family counseling, family court ... and Jupiter as the apex of the Yod means you have the capacity to expand the current consciousness and vision of working with groups of families, or in the home or with elderly care ...
With Jupiter, higher education can be involved (college level and beyond) or anything foreign, and with the Second House and the Midheaven involved means you can make your quest a career, earning money, and/or having the ability to raise money.
Additionally, your natal Sun, Uranus, Neptune, and Saturn in Capricorn all conjunct the cusp of the Fourth House cusp make an opposing aspect to your Jupiter/Midheaven combination, revealing that a basic life purpose for you is to bring structure, innovative ideas, and compassion to the home and family dynamic.
Through your Yod, you can experience real faith, have social influence, and can somehow effect mass mentality and mass consciousness in this lifetime.
I hope this has helped.
