Astrological Forecast for March 2008

It’s time to get moving! Last month’s Mercury retrograde cycle is over and the quick-paced planet is ready to shoot forward. Visionary activities stimulate your mind to take you to the next level of spiritual expression during the latter half of March. And if you are feeling spring fever, romance is in the air after the 12th.

Now that you are motivated to read to the end of the column, it is necessary to advise that the month starts on a serious tone. Tend to business during on the first weekend of March so that you will not feel guilty playing as the month picks up steam.

On Tuesday the 4th, aggressive Mars moves into feeling-oriented Cancer through early May. This helps you complete an emotionally charged cycle that started in November 2007. You have the opportunity to make sure your actions and emotions are in alignment.

If you are in alignment, the Pisces New Moon on Friday the 7th opens your higher vision to manifest your dreams. If you are running off-center, totem animal coyote the trickster comes along to burst your illusions.

A few hours before the New Moon, warrior Mars opposes transforming Pluto - a challenging combination present in December’s assassination of Benazir Bhutto. Although violence in the world is likely this week, the positive perspective is that you clearly see what is working in your life and what is no longer valid. Are there boundaries, especially emotional, that need to be established?

Saturday the 8th is an exciting, high-energy day. An Aries Moon has you constantly on the move, so get physical. Exercise, dance, climb a mountain!

The enthusiastic Sun aligns with revolutionary Uranus mid-day Saturday, allowing you to make new friends and try something completely out of the norm. Following shortly behind this eccentric energy, logical Mercury aligns with "I’m a space cadet" Neptune. Get some extra sleep on Sunday morning the 9th, or you may simply space-out that Daylight Savings Time started last night.

Enjoy sensual delights early in the week of the 10th while the Moon in Taurus tempts you with numerous opportunities for pleasure. You definitely want to share in the company of others this week. On Wednesday the 12th and Friday the 14th, romantic Venus and social Mercury move into Pisces. The next three weeks open you to romance, fantasy, and intuitive vision.

Moon in Cancer for the weekend of the 15th urges you to seek comfort and nurturing. Minor stresses combined with the desire to curl up in a relaxing ball lead up to St. Patrick’s Day. Although the 17th has warm Leo party tone to it, cool Saturn makes it a short party.

Spring Equinox arrives on Wednesday the 19th at 10:49 pm PDT. Action and adaptability are keywords for the next three months. You will feel pulled between relationships and responsibility through summer solstice. On one side of the zodiac, you have loving Venus in romantic Pisces. Pulling from the other side is serious Saturn in work-aholic Virgo. Your mantra: work hard, play hard.

Relationship needs feel driven on the days surrounding the Full Moon on the 21st. This presents March’s largest challenge in an otherwise gentle month. A pattern forms called a Grand Cross. Think of a row of dominoes where one gets knocked over and the rest follow. The key is to integrate actions and emotions while simultaneously releasing outdated activities- and pioneering new beginnings. At the very least, it makes for a busy weekend.

Easter Sunday is characterized by an introspective void-of-course Moon, a better time to take a nap than to participate in the holiday busyness. If you must go out with the family to a restaurant, you will feel better if you go at the quieter non-prime time. Even so, it is a talkative time when emotions are likely to prefer quiet.

The final weekend of March is excellent for social and relationship activities. Friday the 28th is best because love & marriage Venus is particularly friendly. Whatever your relationship situation, get out and share with others.
