Whitney's Whirl: Your Weekly Horoscope for April 18-25, 2011

This week (on Wednesday, April 20th, 2011)), the Sun enters Taurus and our energies change from the the high driving charge of Aries, a fire sign, to something far more mellow as Taurus is an earth sign. As the sign of Taurus is ruled by Venus, we will see more issues having to do with love, creativity, and money this week. Allow the calm, steadfast energy of Taurus into your life by lighting a Turquoise candle and reading your wish list aloud. Your wish list should include things that are related to Taurus such as finances, creativity or love.
With Mercury still retrograde in Aries, we are still formulating our plans for the turn around time, which is April 23rd. This week you may notice angry people around you, and you may have a hard time with anger driven emotions, and fretting about issues over which you have little control, at least for this week. With Uranus in Aries running right alongside Mars and Mercury we are still very emotional and may have some difficulty with controlling ourselves or events arouns us. With Pluto Square to these planets Just know that anything driving you this week, will be far less important by the end of next week, and if you feel volatile, and combatative, it's just what you should be feeling with these volatile aspects. Just remember, it will get better, and peace will reign next week.
With Venus still in Pisces, it is a sweet passion that will fire our souls if we can just get away from the power and difficulties of the other Aries planets. Let this tender placement lift your hearts and tell someone you love them, or maybe you will hear someone say those words to you. It's magic, and it's not here for long, so take advantage of this sweet power this week.
We have an interesting aspect of Uranus Sextile Pluto this week, and so we will notice some awakenings or bolts perhaps of understandings. The Sextile will help keep the awakening on a gentle note so we are not overwhelmed by it.
ARIES: The focus this week moves from your 1st house of self, to 2nd house of finances, income, and feeling blessed. You have already accomplished a great deal, so now with Venus in Pisces in your 12th house of boundless imaginations or maybe self undoing, be sure that you use this in a creative sense, and not in a clandestine adventure. Take some time to go within and capture your brilliant ideas. A perfect time to begin your book. Think about that.
TAURUS: You are the main focus this week, and as you walk away from issues that no longer serve you, a new social group will support you spiritually and financially. Romance will find you in a group setting, perhaps while discussing political interests or at an art show. A new relationship, job change and move are all part of this weeks options...wow!
GEMIINI: With your ruler, Mercury, still retrograde, hold off on making any important decisions until after the 23rd, when it goes direct. It's easy to find something to be angry about this week, but as the Sun slides into Taurus, find some compatible minds and create your business accumen. Venus in your 10th house of career promises financial gain providing you do something creative or work in the psychic realm. Neptune adds its magical touch; don't forget to advertise.
CANCER: The week starts out with the Moon in Scorpio conjunct the part of fortune in your 5th house of love, creativity, and play so you might feel very rewarded if a new sweetie arrives and the sultry sparks fly. Vacation or a get away are prominent this week,but the work environment is volatile and you won't know whether to go or stay. Find a magical get away, and leave all behind; it will still be there when you return refreshed and peaceful.
LEO: Love, romance and a healing are sure to please you and your special other this week. A new opportunity is on the horizon in your career so even if your mind is some place else, keep an ear for the wind of opportunity as the door is open for you. Something or someone from your past could reappear, and legal issues could be confusing as information is missing or gone. Not to worry as things will clear over the next couple of weeks.
VIRGO: The Sun slides into your 9th house perhaps helping you to think about a return to an educational path, or a long distance trip. With your 8th house packed with a bunch of raucous planets, keep in mind that other people's opinions should be taken with a grain of salt. Relationships may be iffy and cause you to walk. Mercury is retrograde, wait until next month to say yes.
LIBRA: Your ruling Planet, Venus, is in your 6th house of work alongside Neptune which offers you a creative venture. The Sun in your 7th house of relationships points to someone who wants to be in your life, but Mercury retrograde brings in mystery or lack of clarity around this person. As this person may be a bit more motivated then you desire, sit back and wait for Mercury to turn direct before you make a decision

SCORPIO: The Sun highlights your 6th house with Mercury, Jupiter, Mars and Uranus. So, if the workplace seems rather intense this week, well, it should be. Just keep in mind that by mid week, the Sun slides into your 7th house putting you more in touch with important other people. With Venus, Neptune and Chiron all in Pisces in your 5th house, love and creativity are on your mind, and, heart. Don't rush love with Mercury retrograde, give it a couple of weeks.
SAGITTARIUS: Your 5th house of love and creativity is activated; business too. This week shows a healing in a family situation which you thought was hopeless. With Pluto in your 2nd house of income, a deceased family member may come to visit you but in a very positive way, like an inheritance shows up. Love can be found close to home, internet, or when you open up and say, "Hi".
CAPRICORN: The Sun is in Your 5th house of creativity, children, and gambling. and this will herald a playful week, full of surprises and giggling. Play some lottery numbers and do something as artistic as you can muster. You will find that you sell what you create. Get up and move your body to the beat, and don't be surprised if you adopt a pet this week.
AQUARIUS: The Sun highlights your 4th house of foundations, family and home. Doing things with family members or at home is important. It's possible to move or change your home in some way. You may find that you need new colors, or furniture in your home. You may also find a creative outlet from home that brings out your artistic side. Music, art and visitors should make for a busy week.
PISCES: Your 3rd house of education, online classes, and learning is going to keep you busy. Learn about publishing this week, and communicate as much as you can. Your daily routine may be bustling with ideas and learning or helping others learn something. Put yourself out there and the money will flow! Learn about your new laptop or take a class in desktop publishing.
