Hi Jeff,

I have a question about my son (born on December 24, 2007 at 21:23 in Portland Oregon.) He has a receptive and expressive language disorder. We do worry about his future. How is he going to be able to manage in school? Will he have also some learning disabilities?If you could please tell me about his dispositions for getting an education.

So sorry it’s taken me so long to get back to you :(

Let’s look at your son’s natal astrology chart.

There seems to be a push/pull dynamic to your son’s chart. On the one hand, he’s a Capricorn so he’s stable, cautious, reserved, practicle. On the other, his Saturn makes an opposition aspect to the planet Uranus. Here, there’ll be a dislike of authority, of being told what to do. There is a push/pull within him between responsibility and freedom, expectation and want. Since his Uranus is in the 7th House of “other’s,” it’s quite possible this aspect will be enacted out by projection, where he himself is stable, yet involves himself with those who are less responsible. His Sun in Capricorn makes him ambitious, and with his Sun close to Jupiter, he’ll be fun, with good sense of humor. His Sun and Jupiter are in an opposition aspect to Mars - he’ll be athletic, act fast and be prone to rashness.

His Saturn and his Ascendant are in Virgo, so he’s picky and analytical, and with his South Node close to Saturn, his conservative predisposition mirrors who he was in his immediate past life, characteristics he’s brought over into this incarnation.

With his Venus in Scorpio, he’ll feel much desire in his life, although relationships in general will be a challenge for him to understand. His Venus makes a square aspect to Neptune, which generates much confusion and unclear motives when in relationship. Although the close relationships in his life might be volitile, his North Node is close to his Descendant, revealing that working within and developing partnerships, both romantic and business, will enable much soul growth for him in this lifetime.

There is much importance put on speech and communication in his life with his Sun, Jupiter, Pluto and Mercury all close to one another, and all in an opposition to Mars. Communication of all kinds are important to him and there will be much effort put through on his part. With his Sun close to Jupiter, he’ll have a thirst for knowledge, and in any subject that will increase his self awareness and expand his mind. His chart shows there will be some learning challenges in his life with his Sun and Mercury very close to each other, however, I don’t see the disability as anything that will be a major disruption to his life. His thoughts and analytical abilities will feel “crowded” within his head, which can cause confusion. I hope you understanding his mental capabilities now will help him sort through his thoughts as he grows. He’s highly creative. With his Sun close to Pluto, there will be a depth and intensity to him. He may be a catalyst for other’s to change and transform themselves without him being aware of it.

His chart has a very beneficial aspect called a Grand Trine: his Moon in Cancer gives him a sensitivity and a nurturance, and his Venus in Scorpio reveals an emotional intensity. The Grand Trine involves both his Moon (in the 11th House) and Venus (in the 4th House) in a favorable aspect to his Uranus (in the 7th House.) All of this shows his sensitivity, emotional intensity, and charm can be successfully directed towards his friends, to groups of people, his family, towards his partners, and in fact, to all humanity.
