The Point of Joy or Sorrow

Teachings From The Brotherhood of LightWorkers

The following segment has been received, word for word through a psychic process known as channeling. It is an invited procedure. The teachings always serve to guide us through the journey of life.

Everything has purpose.  There are no mistakes.

If the heart is heavy, there is gain to be had.  The gain is of empathy, of connectedness.  It is only when we feel our most belabored and trudging sense of the hardships of the journey that we gain understanding, deepest and most profound, for the fellowship of others in their travails.  When we are happiest, we do not feel that sense of another's journey; we feel only our own.  But when we are hurting, we can develop the keenest awareness of all mankind's dilemma - the isolation of selfness.

It behooves us, then, to gain from our pain.  To use it for the best purpose, the advancement of the human being.  It does not serve to wallow, only to empathize.

The point of joy is to savor the fullness of being: the pleasure of finding self and appreciating being physical.  The point of suffering is to connect the separate selves into oneness -- the only way it can happen!

Look, too, at the concept, "point", for it means "at a place" or "at a moment".  It carries the sense that the moment is fleeting, a mere instant or pin dot of impression.  Know, then, that the point of something - a feeling, or an experience - encapsulates both the connotation of purpose and of briefness.

The point of life is both ecstasy and agony, as the novelist said.  It is all one, and at the same time, none.  Therein lies all understanding.
