Give Thanks for Our Helpers – Both Seen and Unseen

by Laura Norman

"Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for your abundance." – Eckhart Tolle

We are all connected in so many ways – some that are obvious and some we may not yet be conscious of. As Thanksgiving approaches, I like to think about these connections—and how thankful I am for them.
It’s said that we stand on the shoulders of others when we accomplish anything in life. It’s true, even for those of us who consider ourselves very independent. We all benefit from the efforts of those who came before us and those who love and support us.

I am grateful for the family members who loved, nurtured and guided me through childhood and continue to do so; the teachers who taught me to be a lifelong learner; the many friends who are there for me through good times and challenges. It was one of these friends who introduced me to my life’s work, Reflexology, during my college days. Because of her I found my path, which continues to be so rewarding—and such fun!

The people I practiced on while learning Reflexology told me how grateful they were—and I am also thankful for them because they trusted me and helped me to hone my skills. I so appreciate all the clients I’ve worked with and the Reflexology students I’ve taught, because helping them has given my life such meaning. I appreciate the other wonderful teachers and healers who are now my colleagues because the work we do together ripples out to benefit so many people. Just knowing that makes my heart sing.

“Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.”  – William Arthur Ward

There are also helpers working behind the scene to bring about the best in our lives. I feel their influence through the guidance I receive intuitively – like the “meaningful coincidences” that bring the right people and resources into my life at the perfect moment, and the comfort I experience when I meditate and pray. Call the Source of this help “God,” “Creator,” “Spirit,” “The Universe”…whatever resonates for you.

There are also many messengers from that Source: “angels,” “devas,” “spirit guides,” forces working for the highest good in every person’s life, bringing about miracles, large and small.

I use a powerful technique I discovered in Thomas T. Moore’s book, A Gentle Way. In it he tells us we each have a guardian angel watching over us, ready to assist us in manifesting our desires. Simply talk to your guardian angel. Say out loud, whisper or write down:

“I request a most benevolent outcome for (whatever you desire for yourself),” then say, “Thank you.”

Only use this phrase to request outcomes for yourself, as your guardian angel is just for you. You can also ask for someone else, and ask other helper angels for assistance, e.g., the angel of health, of happiness, of prosperity, etc. Say:

“I ask for (instead of ‘I request’) a most benevolent outcome for (whatever you desire for another and/or from a helper angel),” then say, “Thank you.”

When you receive your outcome, express your appreciation to your angel(s) by saying “Thank you” three times.
I have experienced, seen and heard about hundreds of desired outcomes that have manifested using these techniques. Apply it to yourself and others. You’ll be thrilled with the amazing results.

For this Thanksgiving, and throughout the year to come, “I ask for a most benevolent outcome for the fulfillment of each of your desires. Thank you.”

“Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation.” – Brian Tracy
