The following segment has been received, word for word through a psychic process known as channeling. It is an invited procedure. The teachings always serve to guide us through the journey of life.  

In the course of a lifetime, difficulties will arise.  It is at these moments when it is most urgent that an individual respond well, for in gentler times it is easier to cope and therefore, of course, not as challenging to be gracious or sensitive.  It is however when threat is upon one that the urge to self-protect can cast aside the actions of grace and compassion in favor of survival or personal need. 

However, it is in crisis when one's actions are judged the most.  That is when the soul prepares its next life, and brings back favor, luck and blessing... or harm.  It is difficult work, then, to remember that you are not the only thing that counts, and that love always trumps selfish desire.

Behaving in a gracious fashion during good times and bad is where character is built, and is what separates wisdom from its lack thereof.  No one else determines this; no rigid schoolmaster stands over one with the whip.  Only the self exists in such a moment, and only the self chooses. Therefore, the job on earth is to remember the other self - that which is outside of personal bounds but exists to be served, for it is in this grace under fire that wisdom is born, and character is tested.

Today's world is designed to bring many such occasions of choice.  That is the purpose of the crunch.  The struggle, then, is in raising the personal vibration into its global awareness... as simple as remembering the other guy when your own life is under fire.
