Air, Fire, Water and Earth
The Full Moon on Saturday the 10th at 22 degrees of Cancer was simply beautiful to behold. The Cancer/Capricorn full moon is when you balance your nurturing needs with your worldly responsibilities. This specific full moon is aligned with the star Castor in the constellation Gemini. This energy has to do with the struggle to find the balance between light and darkness. Castor also represents writing and keen intellect, so you may want to get out your journal.
This week is an enjoyable time for you with the Moon opposite Venus. Everyone around you will seem light and happy, and you'll even be getting along with your worst enemies! Tension melts away as you are extra-diligent about communication. Communication is the key ant the communications planet Mercury is retrograde in Aquarius and Capricorn from January 11th through February 2nd. Aquarius represents taking innovative steps forward and Capricorn represents honoring tradition and playing by the rules.. On a personal level, clean up old stuff while setting the stage for that which is yet to come. Settling the past so to speak. On Jan. 25/26, there is a solar eclipse at 7 degrees of Aquarius. A solar eclipse asks you to dig down way deep and look to see what your Soul wants to bring forth, not just dealing with the busyness of your life. A Solar eclipse always represents New Beginnings. Mercury, the communications planet, begins this backwards path in Aquarius, continuing on to retrograde in Capricorn on the 20th, before finally ending its review and revising the cycle on the 2nd. Take extra care of your nervous system this month and practice flexibility of both thinking patterns and stretching your body to ease tension. Get your rest — eat sensibly to avoid catching a cold or the flu. You can make general plans during this time period, but don't carve anything too tightly in stone. (Usually agreements made during Mercury retrograde are either broken, changed or just do not Tuesday and Wednesday are good for quiet, detail work under a Virgo moon. A little self-purification wouldn't hurt, either. Thursday and Friday are definitely the social days this week, so get out and meet new people or connect with old friends. Saturday evening will be quieter, so plan intimate activities.
On the World Scene:
The Supreme Court Conference on Obama - did nothing this last Friday - so that surely means that is it - although those who were instigating it will continue to pick at it.
North Korea says that it is going to keep its nukes - and Iran sent all the terrorists back home - that it had lined up to get on the plane to go to Egypt. Egypt said it didn't want them - (can you imagine that) and as if Iran didn't know that is what would happen - but now it can blame Egypt. This is the kind of games they play all the time - as do many of the other countries in the world.
Looks like Europe is going to get its gas from Russia - and Hamas is being driven to the point where it is saying that it wants a truce - but it is pretty late for that.
Inauguration next week - which seems more and more likely to occur - contrary to my expectations six months ago. The world does go on - and the economy down - and to most people everything just seems to become more and more unstable. So far - there is no indication that Obama has any really new ideas or plans. Most of his appointments seem to be old school - and so it is going to be just more of the same. Even if he did have ideas that could really change things - it is highly unlikely that the US Congress or American people would permit him to implement them.
The Air Signs
Gemini - Libra – Aquarius
Gifts are on the way to you! Jupiter, the lucky planet, is in Aquarius, and you Air Signs have a yearlong gift from the Cosmos. On Thursday, the Moon in Libra trines Jupiter, and you will think very optimistic and utopian thoughts. Your Love Week - Air Signs:
OK, there's only one way to bring back the zing – consistently - in your love life: Get over yourself! This week it's time to take off your "me, me, me" hat and start noticing the deleterious effect that your selfishness has on your life as a whole, especially in the realm of love. Granted, you're normally balanced, but when you're off-kilter, you are really in bad shape. Try to look at this situation from his or her perspective, then revisit the relationship. Remember that when you're arguing over petty things, such as whether the toilet seat was left up or the cap was put back on the toothpaste. Energy abounds this week, and he or she notices the difference. The keyword here is "fun." Relish it and pass it on! Your lover admires this most in you and cherishes downtime with you. The people who know and love you are aware that, if asked, you may respond that a new haircut looks awful. This week, focus on you, the person who's normally your favorite subject, but not when it comes to love.
