Astrological Forecast for December 2009

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Here we go again with more financial pressure for families and more loneliness for those who are lonely and in need of love. O.K., it is also the most beautiful time of the year if you put your attention on the rose rather than the thorns.
This month has lots of goodies in Santa’s bag of astrological signatures including a full Moon Lunar Eclipse on New Year’s Eve.
This month Sagittarians are romantic, Pisces has a creative spark, Gemini is restless, Capricorn in thinking, Sagittarius is emotionally loud, Leo’s need to swallow their pride, Capricorn falls in love, Sagittarius retreats for a few weeks and the sign of Cancer starts off the New Year with deep emotional feelings of love and hope.
Wow. I don’t know where to start this month. On December 1st Uranus turns direct after five months of being retrograde (appears to be moving backwards) and Venus moves into the visionary sign of Sagittarius. Could this mean unexpected (Uranus) love for either Pisces or Sagittarius? It certainly gets the lazy fish off to a jump start as Uranus continues its travels through the sign of Pisces.
With a full Moon in Gemini on December 2nd at 2:30AM around 10 degrees we have the emotional jitters. Those born under the sign of Gemini are going through needed changes for the next two weeks. Prepare for warp drive. No major planets are in retrograde motion for the first three weeks of December so the light is green for Gemini.
This full Moon has a Sagittarius signature giving both Sagittarius and Gemini’s some visionary strength. Whatever these two signs think they can manifest. Go for the gold. Gemini deals with information and communication. Sagittarius deals with interpretation and a higher purpose in life.
On December 7th, Jupiter and Chiron conjoin making its third exact conjunction this year with Chiron. Since Neptune is also involved in this conjunction we have the two most spiritual planets at work with the wounded healer (Chiron). A perfect combination for those who are in the holistic healing professions and for those who meditate a wonderful combination for deep spiritual experiences. This energy is with all of us till the middle of January. It will continue for those born under the sign of Pisces.
Mercury moves into Capricorn on December 5th giving Capricorn’s time to organize plans for a new year. Whatever Capricorn is thinking of taking action on they better do it before Mercury turns retrograde this month on the 26th.
The new Moon in Sagittarius on December 16th is at 24 degrees. This new Moon gives those born under the sign of Sagittarius new visionary power as it closely aligns with the Galactic Center (currently at 26”55’ Sagittarius) making it easier to grasp the big picture and connecting to higher, more refined realities. A wonderful time to start New Year affirmations and goals.

Mars turns retrograde on December 20th in the sign of Leo. It is time for those born under the sign of Leo, Leo rising or Moon in Leo to swallow your bride. If there is a sign in the Zodiac that loves attention and can’t seem to get over themselves its Leo. Women who have Venus in Leo brag about how many men are following them around.
With Mars retrograde in Leo till March 10th of 2010, the Lion is learning how to take a back seat. Frustration and anger can erupt from the inside and explode in the spring season of 2010 when Mars turns direct. More physical exercise would be wonderful to dissolve built up tensions and the Lion admitting that they are wrong sometimes. This advice taken well will avoid explosive relationship issues. For those who have enough of the water element in their charts they can worry less about what was just mentioned.
The Sun moves into Capricorn on December 21st at 12:47PM EDT to start the Winter Solstice. Venus moves into Capricorn on Christmas Day and then Mercury turns retrograde on the 26th in the sign of Capricorn.
Those born under the sign of Capricorn are feeling good during Christmas. Everything seems to be moving according to their life’s plan. Even there love life seems to be on track. Then Mercury turns retrograde and New Year’s Eve starts off 2010 with a full Moon Lunar Eclipse in the sign of Cancer. The sign that is opposite of Capricorn.
We could say that those born under the sign of the goat will be flipped upside down and all of the loose change that is hanging around in the secret places of their pockets will fall out all over the floor.
The full Moon Lunar Eclipse New Year’s Eve is at 10 degrees of Cancer at 2:13PM EDT. Cancer is the opposite sign of Capricorn. Cancer is the ruling sign of America and this is the last SuperMoon of 2009.
SuperMoon’s closest to the Earth and syzygy (in line with the Sun and Earth). This intensifies the gravitational pulls of the Sun and Moon.
Therefore, we start off 2010 with an emotional bang. The statue of Liberty symbolizes a women declaring freedom under the sign of Cancer representing the mother. Cancer is ruled by the Moon.
America needs physical, emotional, and spiritual nourishment to fulfill our destiny as a leader of all countries. It does not need more economic corruption and war. President Barack Obama will meet with great resistance to his plans to continue war in any part of the world. Business leaders such as CEO’s of America will be asked to sacrifice this year or they will be investigated. I will talk more about 2010 in my predictive column.
This Lunar Eclipse is asking those born under the sign of Cancer to let go of anything that is no longer for there highest good. Emotional ties with anything or anyone that holds them back. Women are being asked to lead the world more. The first six months of 2010 will see more women coming forward to lead and bring back some old fashioned traditional values as Saturn moves through the sign of Libra questioning the responsibility (Saturn) of relationships including marriage (Libra).
Mercury moving in retrograde motion creates communication breakdowns for those born under the signs of Capricorn and Cancer. Be careful what you communicate to the public at large and in your personal relationships so you don’t regret the outcome later on. This energy is active till the third week of January.
Affirmation for the second half of December is: I LET GO OF EVERYTHING. THOUGHT, FEELING, HABITS THAT ARE NO LONGER FOR MY HIGHEST GOOD.
